The Great and Terrible Quest

The Great and Terrible Quest, by Margaret Lovett, is the story of a young orphan, Trad, who meets a mysterious old man with a ghastly half healed wound on his head. The old man can not seem to remember anything, only this: he was on a certain quest, something important but dangerous. Trad is set on helping this man complete his task, and remember what it is along the way. It is a dangerous journey to the city, with many enemies to avoid, including Trad's angry, wicked Grandfather, whom he ran away from. This is an exciting book that never fails to leave you in suspense. I loved this book!

The Samurai's Tale

Erik Christian Haugaard's The Samurai's Tale, is an exciting book about a young Japanese boy, Taro, whose whole family was killed when he was only five years old. The invaders who killed his family, spare him and take him back with him to work as a servant for Lord Akiyama. Taro dreams of being a samurai, but he has to earn his way there. This is an exciting book full of adventure and action. I love this book!
